Default Fissure has no end

Me and a group went through the entire Fissure mission and there was no end to the mission. You have to bring the ghost to an Alter but there is no alter. We searched the entire area and nothing. Are we missing something????

As this map is fairly new, I haven't played it yet thoroughly, so I don't know exactly where the central altar is, but I think it's in a sort of crater, whith huge chains going up into the sky.

What would really interest me is your group, the more info you can give, the more fun can this missions be made for release.
What classes were you?
What skills did you use?
How long did it take you to clean the map?
Was it boring and tedious?
How did you like the monsters and their skills?
etc.

2 tank 2 caster 2-3 monks? and some other, tank use defensive, caster (me) used nukes and ward against melee/ward against foe, monk used protective/healing. u know the rest, but in all we know what we were doing, and many of us died so many times its not even funny, in all it took aroudn 4-5 hrs for us to clear most of the map, and yet in the end we got nothign out of it because the quest can't be completed...

It isn't the place you are describing we checked there. We cleared all most every enemy in the map.

The builds in our group were:
E/W
W/Mo
Mo/
W/E
E/Mo
N/Mo
Me/
I can't remeber some of the secondaries or aour 8th person

I went there with 6 people from the GWO guild, and we got through most of the map, had to leave after about 4 hours or so because most of us had to go do stuff.

If I can recall correctly, we had cleared out the area with the huge alter and chains and whatnot, but our ghostly hero had died in the very beginning, so we really coudln't know for sure what to do. I do remember, however, an area off to the side (the big open area, if you're facing in a direction so that the big alter is to your right, this area is the one to the left) where it got all grassy, and it had trees and those lightning monsters. We didn't go all the way in though, because there was a point where there was a group of 6 of those insane lightning monsters, and we knew we couldn't take them out. It did look like there was something down there though.

I just don't think the area was completed fully. My guess is that they just haven't fully implemented the quest(s?) for the area yet.

It was an awesome area though, pretty much every single drop was an insane drop. I got about 4 bows with max damage, 2 axes with max damage (one of them a chaos axe) and a pretty good hammer. It was the best loot I've seen in one single area.

If you guys from GWO are reading this, thanks for the awesome time and maybe we could do that again come release :-)

yeah the area with the chains was not the alter for the ghost. We took him every where in the level with no success (It was very frusturating). I am 99.9999% sure this area was not finshed yet. Maybe they just didn't expect people to get that far.

The area was very good to find items. I found a full dmg Chaos Blade and a 16 al Eternal sheild and a bunch of good hamers and bows. The only thing i didn't find was a good wand. Did anybody find a eternal like wand????

I also was in a great group of folks who cleared much of the area, including the circular two-tiered area with all of the chains. We brought our Hero there, and nothing happened. Later, after our Hero died, we found another raised area with two Lich Dragons where we suspect the alter may be. Unfortunately, by this time, we all were suffering from 60% DP and were wearing down mentally as well.

Did anyone encounter and/or clear out the area with the Lich Dragons?

Incidentally, w had a party comprised of:
3 War/Mo tanks
3 pure healers
2 Nukers

It took us about 3-4 hours (guessing- time was becoming blurry by 2am EST on Monday Morning) and it was all fun, all the time. Nothing tedious here, as we were too engaged in overcoming the challenge. Tactics and teamwork are crucial, of course, and we seemed to have a great group who clicked well.

yeah my group was very good too. I think the way you have to get far in this mission is to have everybody in the group listen to one another. That is how we got so far. We had no one running out on there own.

Also we did clear the Lich dragon area and there was still nothing.
